When asked:Can you tell us two things we can do to improve your experience with our company?
Our customer answered:You exceeded my expectations in every way, so I am hard pressed to think of 2 ways to improve it. Kelsey was exceptionally helpful in figuring out the layout and she found an error in the measurements made by the contractor that we were basing the layout on.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:Price, quality and good reviews. Its helpful that DYI Network and HGTV have both mentioned your store in the past so we knew it had to have SOME backing other than advertising money. Good reviews online were helpful and simply the fact that we knew we could save money by removing the labor factor of putting them together ourselves.

When asked:Can you tell us two things we can do to improve your experience with our company?
Our customer answered:Marie,\n \n Thank you so much for this e-mail. All of my dealings with The RTA Store have been terrific, and deep down, I was confident that the doors would be replaced, because I felt it was the right thing to do. I still had a feeling of relief when I received confirmation that the doors are on their way.\n I continue to be a very satisfied RTA customer, and look forward to many more cabinet orders. In fact, one of my clients has just purchased another flip house. I am in the process of designing the kitchen, and we will be ordering another round of Aspen White Shaker cabinets very soon. :-Have a terrific day! You certainly have made mine start out well.\n Todd S.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:I order a sample door and liked the look and the quality of it so I ordered a cabinet. I liked the quality and the ease of putting them together. I also liked the price as compared to the big box stores whose cabinets were more expensive and contained particle board.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:After ordering sample doors, we felt confident in the quality that we were buying. It was a better quality product than available at Lowe's/Home Depot. It was a better price than going with a true custom cabinet from a cabinet dealer in town.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase online instead of a brick and mortar store?
Our customer answered:Conveniece - I could shop when I wanted to. No sales person trying to convince me to purchase something I really didn't want. I know enough about cabinets to be able to read the descriptions and know what quality is.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:After comparing Lowe's, Cabinets to Go, The RTA Store had the product I wanted and Kara was fantastic. She took the extra time to show me a great design. She went way beyond what Cabinets to Go offered. The only drawback was not being able to actually see the cabinets. Cabinets to Go had a storefront where I could go and actually see and feel the cabinets, but in the end I wanted the cabinets that RTA had to offer. Thanks to Kara who was fantastic.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:I did not want an off the shelf cabinet from a Big Box store and all other wholse=ale distributors were 4 weeks plus turn around time. I saw RTA on the show Flipping Boston. I kmow these guys like quality so I am taking a chance on RTA.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:Ive shopped with your competitor before rtacabinetstore before then I found you guys. I liked several styles you offer and I msotly liked your design service as I was working on a tight kitchenette area. I like the value of RTA with real wood, no particle board. Desiree was a pleasure to work with. Im glad she was helping me on this job.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase online instead of a brick and mortar store?
Our customer answered:Price really drove the decision. Also most of the brick and mortar stores offer a stock product that is built with particle board boxes which I didnt want. If you special ordered through them the price was very high.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:We initially contacted Lily Ann Cabinets, but the response was slow and they couldn't figure out what we wanted, even though we provided them with the same measurements and photos that we did RTA. We also saw some bad reviews for them, whereas most of RTA's were very positive. We had a design from Kelsey with 48 hours of contacting RTA. We are thrilled with our decision to go with RTA.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:Design assistance and cabinet selection with color and cabinets. Appreciated Desiree's attention, patience, and responsiveness. She was wonderful in every e-mail and offered great solutions. If this job turns out well, I have another kitchen to redo with you!

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase online instead of a brick and mortar store?
Our customer answered:Value. We were able to purchase substantially better cabinets for a lot less than any of the brick and mortar stores, including Cabinets-to-Go, which is a local store we visited and priced.
May 2014
When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:Originally, I checked out all the limited sources in our area. Nothing appealed to me either bc of price for what I liked or couldn't find anything that attracted me. [Our kitchen cabinets were all hand made by a furniture builder, to look like 1800's scrub pine.]\n \n After giving up, I checked things out at Home Depot, everytime I went in there. No one to help me….and really not seeing anything I loved. Only bc I wanted my laundry Room DONE, did I break down & buy 2 double door wall cabinets, in unfinished wood, at the Home Depot. Very inexpensive. As soon as they were unloaded & sitting in the garage I hated them. So, back they went.\n \n I then began a new Search online for something….anything that might suit me. And there you were! I found just what I wanted, called & spoke with Casey A. & went from there. Bc Casey was so patient, knowledgeable, knew the product & could make smart recommendations, did I choose to go with TheRTAStore. I NEVER buy online. Casey not only listened to me, he HEARD me. This is huge! I am one of tons of online customers, I don't doubt that….he treated me as though I were walking into his store front & as small as my order was, I felt like a valued customer.

May 2014
When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:Price, Quality and Desiree. We ordered a couple door samples and decide the quality was perfect for our situation. Plus I compared rta cabinets with the box store and a private contractor. both had 20 to 25% up charges for paint and plywood construction. Crazy!! Time will be tight on this project. Therefore, having the option of having the cabinets delivered already assembled was great. Nice to have the option of taking delivery assembled or ready to assemble. The design service is an essential part of the buying process.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase online instead of a brick and mortar store?

When asked:Would you be willing to write a brief review of your experience with TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:Thank you for being an honest company. (That's a bit rare these days.) When I received my first shipment of cabinets, i did not check the order correctly with the delivery truck, and did not realize until much later that I did not receive a corner base cabinet. According to your detailed rules, I believed I blew it, my fault not yours. I ordered another base cabinet, and ate the cost. About a week ago, you contacted me that you had discovered the error. You have sent me a refund for the missing cabinet. TOTALLY unexpected!!! Thank you for being honest and doing your business with integrity.\n \n I will definitely recommend you to others, and when I need further cabinets, I will not hesitate to use RTA Store again.

When asked:Why did you decide to purchase through TheRTAStore.com?
Our customer answered:When we first started the kitchen project there was another, we had looked for the cabinets on TheRTAStore's website but didn't find anything we liked. We ended up finding cabinets on another website and placed and order. The other company was horrible to work with and kept no promises. We are actually still waiting for our money for a cancelled order. Anyhow, we looked back at your site and found that you carried the cabinets that we wanted, price was right, so we spoke with Kelsey. She cooresponded with us an entire weekend and that's what pushed us your way.

Compliance status

We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability.

To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.

This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.

Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.

If you wish to contact the website’s owner please use the website's form

Screen-reader and keyboard navigation

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers can read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements:

  1. Screen-reader optimization: we run a process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others.

Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images. It provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts embedded within the image using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.

These adjustments are compatible with popular screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
  2. Keyboard navigation optimization:
The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.

Additionally, keyboard users will find content-skip menus available at any time by clicking Alt+2, or as the first element of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, not allowing the focus to drift outside.

Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Disability profiles supported on our website

  • Epilepsy Safe Profile: this profile enables people with epilepsy to safely use the website by eliminating the risk of seizures resulting from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
  • Vision Impaired Profile: this profile adjusts the website so that it is accessible to the majority of visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
Cognitive Disability Profile: this profile provides various assistive features to help users with cognitive disabilities such as Autism, Dyslexia, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements more easily.
  • ADHD Friendly Profile: this profile significantly reduces distractions and noise to help people with ADHD, and Neurodevelopmental disorders browse, read, and focus on the essential elements more easily.
  • Blind Users Profile (Screen-readers): this profile adjusts the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is installed on the blind user’s computer, and this site is compatible with it.
  • Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments

  1. Font adjustments – users can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
  2. Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds with over seven different coloring options.
  3. Animations – epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
  4. Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize essential elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
  5. Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
  6. Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
  7. Additional functions – we allow users to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

Assistive technology and browser compatibility

We aim to support as many browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS, and NVDA (screen readers), both for Windows and MAC users.

Notes, comments, and feedback

Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs, there may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating, improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility following technological advancements. If you wish to contact the website’s owner, please use the website's form
